caring for students webinar

SEPTEMBER 3, 2020

Caring for All Students in Times of Need

this webinar has already occurred, but you can watch the on-demand video below!

Ensuring that every student has a positive relationship with at least one school adult is more important – and harder – than ever.

Whether students are learning from a distance or in the classroom, a positive connection to at least one school adult — whether a teacher, counselor, sports coach, or other school staff member — can have tremendous benefits that include increased engagement, reduced bullying, and improved social-emotional capacities.

In our Relationship Mapping webinar, which you can watch on-demand below, you'll learn how to map the relationships between school adults and students. In addition, you’ll learn:

  1. How to easily collect and analyze data about adult and student relationships at your school

  2. How to pair students with supportive adult mentors within the school

  3. How to create a community of mentors that routinely engage and build relationships with students in particular need

Resources

  1. Relationship mapping strategy for K - 12 schools (in-person and virtual)
