Katherine Sadowski is the Research Project Coordinator for Making Caring Common, where she helps manage the Caring Schools program and other research projects related to cultivating empathy, kindness, and justice. Her particular interest is in education as a tool to address systemic inequalities. Katherine has several years of experience conducting research in education, including on the Hispanic-White achievement gap, wraparound zones initiatives, and efforts to build and assess social-emotional skills in students. She has also spent time working as an admissions counselor and on an initiative focusing on safe, supportive, nurturing environments and relationships in early childhood. Katherine is also an active volunteer in the greater Boston area and has had the pleasure of working with youth at many different organizations as they make plans for their futures past high school.
